by honey, for honey

my limbs were glued by honey to my bed/
you're all that traces in my head./
 a children's rhyme and medusa's kiss/
oh the places you'll go
        (with your eyes closed)

my hair and limbs and blankets, heart strings and thoughts, tangle.
tangle like my memories of you.

do you miss me/
i miss you.

you were a flower to my flesh
and soft to my eyes. you smelled
like wood chips, bet you didn't know.
                        (i would've kissed you)

you split me open with your rosewood axe when you said:
I Don't Love You.

and now im an ancient myth,
trapped inside a children's book.
What's your favorite myth?

Ouch, nobody warned me for the "I don't love you." The imagery was all so beautiful "a flower to my flesh"..."soft to my eyes"..."wood chips" and then the devastating I don't love you!! How do you still manage to convey such pain with such beauty all at once? Absolutely breathtaking.
I like the myth of Kind Midas, I'm not familiar with a lot but that one stands out to me for some reason. :)

This is really beautiful, and I love the symbolism of the plants that you mention.

I am in love with this forth stanza. It's really well written and thought out.
Replying: I can make mine into a spoken. I do a lot of that kind of stuff. I want to edit it a little so it sounds less like a rant. but this piece here could also be very cool spoken.

I think the formatting works! I especially love the line "oh the places you'll go (with your eyes closed)" something about it is so...chilling almost? Like, it's whimsical but then it's dark with "with your eyes closed". Idk, I love it
Ooh, myths. I've always liked the myth about Psyche and Eros. And then the Chinese zodiac one about the banquet.
