If you're reading this, it means I have conjured up enough courage to post this competition.

This is my first competition, and it's for all of you fellow competition hosts out there. The entries for this competition are competitions themselves, so all you have to do to enter is put a link to one of your competitions in the comments, for a chance of it becoming Competition of the Week. And, if you win, you'll get a follow, plus more.

Rules
  • You may enter one competition per week, and no more than one. You may enter in as many weeks as you like, but only once per week.
  • You must enter your competition on either Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday. I use Eastern (USA) Time, currently with daylight savings, but will try to be flexible with different time zones. In order to help with this, please state the time in your own time zone in your comment (the time you see on your clock at the time you post your comment).
  • The competition you enter must be active at least until next week.
  • The competition you enter must not have entries in the form of competitions.
  • You may enter a competition you've already entered in a previous week again, provided it follows the rules above, and it hasn't won the title Competition of the Week. Once a competition wins Competition of the Week, you may not enter it again (no competition can win twice), but you may still enter a competition that hasn't won.
  • Liking this piece is optional, though it's helpful to see who's interested in this.
  • You do not have to tag your competition with #compofcomps.
  • There might be changes for a specific week. If so, I will comment them onto this piece, so search for them in the comments.
Prize

If your competition wins, it will be titled Competition of the Week, and you'll get:
  • A follow.
  • Comments on 10 pieces of your choice.
  • Likes on 3 of your pieces, which I will choose out of the 10 pieces that you chose.
  • A feature in my "Message from Writer."
Each week, I will announce the Competition of the Week in a piece called "Competition of the Week of <insert Sunday date here> to <insert Saturday date here> #compofcomps" and comment the link to the piece onto this one. I will also comment on the Competition of the Week itself, notifying the host of their victory.

Recommendations and Reminders
  • This was intended for people who already have competitions running, but if you haven't hosted any competitions, let this be the inspiration for you to host one.
  • Remember to look in the comments for any pemanent changes and temporary changes for the week. If I cancel the competition for one week, you'll see that statement in the comments.
  • If this competition is permanently ended by me, or even until further notice, I will either comment on this piece, or change that title to reflect that it is not an active competition.
  • There's no reason not to enter your competition into this one, as long as it follows the rules. You don't have to do any extra work and you get a chance at prizes.
A Brief Note on Scoring

The way the Competition of the Week is chosen may change from week to week, so look in the comments for any updates I give on that. The categories a competition can do well at will probably be creativity, how compelling the competition/prompts are, organization/format, and how easy the competition announcement is to read. I may also include creativity and how easy it is to understand the instructions.
  •
Just to clarify, my week is from Sunday to Saturday, so the competition will start on Sunday, and results will (hopefully) be out by Saturday.

The competition you enter must not have entries in the form of competitions. What does this mean?
