metallic figures that ooze moonlight, don't exist in real life

the darkest of the darkest of nights
hide odd beings from our feeble sight
but footsteps and chalkboard cries
come to betray the pastel black skies

an infinite set of seconds tick past
hallways echoing screams that last
find me sleeping under the bed
hands dipped in red, hands dipped in red

iron nails dig deep into my skin
creatures drunk on blood and gin
they're numb and they are free
for they don't feel, for they don't feel

and i hope to turn into one of them
and escape the pain of being human
for these metallic figures that ooze moonlight
just don't exist in real life

i don't want to exist in real life.

I agree with Eblinn! So mysterious and I love the flow and the descriptions!

I love the title, such an eye-catcher! The poem itself is so dark and mysterious.
