An 'Eerie' Riddle!

May 10, 2020

I glide through my way
among the carcasses
of some brave-hearted
and well, some half-hearted

Consider yourself lucky
if you have seen me twice
I exist among your kind,
waiting for 'the moment'
any minute! any second!

As the clock ticks on,
and the hearts beat as one,
As the lungs rupture,
I float amidst you
with souls- young and old
as light as feathers,
as good as gold

I am not a hooded figure
as you might have fathomed
nor am I an obnoxious self
Oh well, you will see me soon
'very' soon enough!

No, I am not a stranger
nor an eerie riddle.
I and you, you and I
turn well known acquaintances
any minute now- as the world moves on!

Well, I am your past
I am your future!
I am the one who is feared
and also the one most awaited
I am your 'fate'
your very own destiny!

I have to say, I did not solve it before the ending, but good poetry-formatted riddle.
