i am not afraid of the dark
nor the things that hide in it
i am afraid of the silence
and the pain that comes with it

so i fill the void with poetry
fingers flying to create music
my nights are bookworm exploits
and silence covered by dreams

I love the line: "fingers flying to create music." It's very beautiful and shows how musical poetry really is.
Replying: yes, me and my brother are pretty close. He is only a year and a few months younger than me.

This is so beautiful! How did I not see this originally? Your second stanza is especially powerful to me because my creative outlets literally mean the world to me! Also, thank you for your support! I'll miss you, but will still comment and review! Be back in a few weeks (if I can last that long!)

I love the line "my nights are bookworm exploits/and silence covered by dreams". So much expressed in so little.

The first stanza is so beautiful and deep! Never looked at darkness like this.....oops.....you can't look at darkness because it's dark......(*sorry for the joke*)
