I'm the leader of my unit. Right now, my unit has been assigned to guard the Stone of Adara directly. It's sort of an honor, but not that much, because we're still guards no matter how important our job is. Really, it's just more pressure, and I feel that pressure as I patrol the cemetery. It also sometimes gives me the creeps, and makes me wonder why the stone has to be kept in a cemetery. I ask no questions, though. That's our motto: "Ask no questions, and remained Favored."
Suddenly, I hear the sound of the distinct loud footsteps of a Cursed. I hurry towards the sound, make it just as the Cursed is in front of the stone, oblivious to the guards behind it. I do as I was instructed, and along with the other guards, grab the Cursed as it reaches out for the stone.
"I know Adara's hands like the back of my own!" Upon hearing that, we all knew that we weren't dealing with a Cursed, but a Great Spirit, and we let the Great Spirit go up to the stone - which they shattered.
"NOOO!!!" I yelled, now strangling the Cursed, despite my pain.
