Message to Readers

A friend advised me to read 'Little Women'. She said that the character of 'Jo' is her favourite as it is free and vigorous and have that turbulent energy to change the world. But after reading the novel I really fell in love with 'Amy' because of her elegant and tender style, in contrast to Jo's manly ways, which defines femininity more accurately.
What do you think?
Note- No grudges with Jo's fangirls. I love all four of them:)

Why I'm not a strong woman

They advise me to be a strong woman;
but I don’t wanna be.
I could make a difference softly;
why should I be manly?

They advise me to be rude with the rude;
but I don’t wanna be.
I could make them gentle with love;
love is what defines me.

They advise me to be a fierce warrior;
but I don’t wanna be.
I could end the wars with peace;
let me remain she.

They advise me to be aggressive;
but I don’t wanna be.
I just want a life with dignity;
to set my soul free.

They advise me to be apathetic;
but I don’t wanna be.
I could make sympathy;
change the pain into glee.
Dedicated to all the 'little women' who want to be 'Amy' instead of 'Jo'; who want to be a feminist without losing their femininity; who want to change the world in their own tender ways.
Why should 'she' be 'he' to make her voice heard?

    Beautiful! I love Little Women! If you want a modern take on it, read Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy. It's a graphic novel! ^u^ I'd say I like Beth and Meg the most. However, I really respect Amy and Jo as well!

    I love every single part of this. You can be tough AND feminine, it's not either/or.
    Personally, Beth is my girl XD, but that whole book is one of my favorites

    I love this piece! I am most like Jo myself, but not in her tomboyishness, so I appreciate what you've done here.
