Ode to Lost Love | Poetic

Heartbreak stabs my mind like a blade
Dreams of him fade into "If only"
Pain replaces joy when I see his face
Words of grief are all left of pledges to love
Lost love swallows us whole
Lost love causes us to scream
Lost love results in tears
Lost love ruins memories of happiness with him
Lost love seems like forever
But
Lost love is soon replaced with New love
New love lets in the sun
New love causes us to smile
New love makes new memories, better than before
New love IS forever
