Walking home in the darkness of an inky Thursday evening, I had an idea. Looking for a chance to have something of yours reviewed? Participate in my writing challenge! If you're interested, read on for the prompts! :)
Prompt One: Write a retelling of a Shakespearean piece. It could be a play or poem, and it can be set in any time or any place (for example, post-apocalyptic A Midsummer Night's Dream set in the Yukon.) It can also be in any genre. Really display your originality!
Your word count should be between 200-1200 words.
Prompt Two: Write a short story where the main character is me, as you picture me. When you read this, what do you think I look like? Act like? Sound like? If you want, you can include yourself too. :) You can put me in any genre or time, I don't mind. I like to explore. If you're a fantasy writer, I can be non-human as well. If you like, you can also create a personality for your version of me, too.
Your word count should be between 200-1200 words.
Prompt Three: Create a piece based off of these three words: "saltwater", "glass", and "twilight". It can be any form of writing you choose. Get creative with it!
Your word count has no limits. (Please be reasonable, though.)
Prompt Four: Write a piece about royalty, or medieval times. It can be fantasy or historical fiction (or anything else you can think of). I really love reading books about medieval times. Originality helps, especially in this one. (Try to break stereotypes or make characters with uncommon traits.)
Your word count has no limits. (Please be reasonable, though.)
FIRST PLACE PRIZE: five likes of my choice, three reviews of my choice, and a follow.
SECOND PLACE PRIZE: three likes of my choice and two reviews of my choice.
THIRD PLACE PRIZE: two likes of my choice and one review of my choice.
ALL SUBMISSIONS MUST BE IN BY WEDNESDAY, APRIL 15TH, 2020.
RESULTS WILL BE OUT BY MONDAY, APRIL 20TH, 2020.
To submit, you must write a comment below with a link to your piece. Otherwise, I probably won't see it. Also, your title should include the tag #everprompts with the number of the prompt you're using afterwards. (Example: "title of piece" #everprompts2). You can also follow me if you want, but no pressure. ;)
If you have any questions, feel free to comment below and ask!
Good luck and happy writing!

It depends whether you want to make small changes (like minor grammar changes, switch of words, etc.) or a major change like a plot point. You’re welcome to alter it, just make sure to resubmit the new version to let me know. :)

Hi, I have a question. What if I want to make some changes to the piece I've already submitted?

I hope you like it…

Ohhh okay, perfect! Thankss

Probably 2.5k at the most. If you go over, that's fine, but I will probably take more time to review and read it. I know cutting down your work absolutely sucks, especially if you're too attached to everything you've written, so I honestly don't mind. If you want something more specific than that, I will loosely say 2.5k. Let me know if you have any more questions. :)

Hi, could you please tell me which is the limit of words for prompt 4? I know you said there isn't a maximum but I want to know how many words you'll be up to read.
