don't girls feel more deeply? and i feel
that we ought to, but between
you and me, how you won't cut your hair off
and the tear tracks tattooed through the phone
to your cheekbones i start to wonder
if the world got us wrong.

oh, darling beloved how deep your
smile stretches, the farther up
your face it goes, i know you want to cry
and don't tell, i do too. our emotions go fast, like
a river unwinding, we strangle ourselves
till we meet at the sea.

"and the tear tracks tattooed through the phone"
ahhh the pain here!!! i felt this on another level and understand everything in a sense/

"our emotions go fast, like / a river unwinding,"
amazing simile. i can totally understand what you're comparing and you slide it into the poem perfectly.

"we strangle ourselves / till we meet at the sea."
there was a pain and weird unknown emotion i got from this, but i do like these lines. they gave me goosebumps.

overall i do like this piece, from your figurative language to the format/structure. your beginning pulled me in and the title caught my eye. so amazing work!
