Disclaimer: this tackles some serious issues and may make some readers uncomfortable. However, I still hope you will keep an open mind and read it.

Why, society, why?
You use my life and right to live it
As a pawn in a political game
You mock my torn and bloody remains
And say I'm only a choice

Why, science, why?
You ignore my beating heart
When I was but one strand of DNA
I was a unique and wonderful person
With the potential to change the world

Why, mother, why?
You treat me like a heavy burden
To be despised and disposed of
Like a product of dismay
You deny me the chance to run and dance
The chance to make you laugh
This might get taken down so I'll be ready to email it to @N. in case it does.
