Love your body, because you are your body, not in the sense of it being the only thing by which you are judged, but in the sense of it being the vessel for your soul and the protector of your mind.

Don’t Go Back, Oh No, Oh No

February 11, 2020

“People were commenting on how thin I’d gotten...”
Stop. Don’t go back. Please.
The woman asked my parents if I was sick. “She seems to have lost weight.”
oh no oh no oh no,
I’m back in Atlanta, gazing at her letters. The kind old woman, writing to me from states away.
oh no oh no oh no...
Therapeutic Assistants walk down the hall (first room across from the nurse’s station, can’t miss it). Don’t go back, don’t go back, don’t go back...
Roommate discharged. Alone in the first room across from the nurse’s station.
Don’t go back.
oh no oh no oh no
I think I’ll be doing a lot of writing about my experience in residential treatment.
