Contest Winners!

February 7, 2020

Oh my stars, this took so hecking long, and I do apologise.

If you don't know, a while back, I began a writing contest of three prompts, #OuterSpace, #Wonderland, and #Colours, and I've received so so many amazing pieces.

Because I took so long to get this done, along with the preexisting prizes for the winners, I will add 5 likes to 1st place winners of any piece of their choice, and 1 like to 2nd place of any piece of their choice.

Now, so as to not keep you all waiting anymore, let's get to the winners!

#Colours- The responses I've received for this absolutely blew me away. With such a simple prompt, you guys went above and beyond all of my expectations.
    1st Place- #colors by thelostprince
This swept me away. Each colour had a different story to it, well done, absolutely well done.
    2nd Place- A life of #Colours by Maryam Q
At first, I didn't think much of it. I thought it just listed colours and the feelings attached to it. But the lot of diction and the imagery totally entranced me.

#OuterSpace- This didn't receive as many entries, but I still absolutely loved every single one. Being a sucker for anything outer space-related, I was so excited and so happy just sitting and reading these stories and poems.
1st Place- life is full of stars #OuterSpace by weirdo
I already loved this. From the beginning, I thought it was super nice and soft, and then at the end, I'm not sure what it was, but it captivated me entirely. An absolutely stellar piece, weirdo.
2nd Place- Lost in Space#CuriousWriters2019|#OuterSpace by aditi
I'm usually not one for reading short stories on WtW. But the introduction totally caught me, and I was hooked until the very end. Sitting on the edge of my seat, I felt like I was in the world that aditi created.

#Wonderland- This prompt received the least amount of entries overall, but that didn't stop how giddy I was to read them all. Ugh, I'm such a dreamer, you guys, and this prompt and these responses totally hit me hard.
    1st Place- my #wonderland by A Rose
Not to undermine any of the entries, of course, but I knew that this piece would be a finalist, if not the winner of #Wonderland. It was exactly what I wanted and more. Something simple on the surface, but something so, so important to you as the writer. Perfection. Your wonderland seems beautiful.
    2nd Place- Midnight Encore #Wonderland by Aurelia.Valus
This piece intrigued me in a way none of the others really did. Somehow, you managed to make your piece so detailed and yet equally as vague and abstract, which captures the true nature of a daydream.

Congrats to all the winners of the contest!! And thank you to everyone else who entered, this was so much fun!
As promised, first place winners will receive a follow, three reviews, and now five likes on any piece they desire! And second place will receive a follow, one review, and one like on any piece they desire. ^^

Congrats again, and I can't wait to read more of everyone's writing on my dashboard ;D
Over and out!

Oh my gosh! Thank you so much! This made my day! I've never won a contest before! And I don't really have any preference on reviews or likes. If it makes it easier I totally will choose, but if not just pick your favorites or whatever's newest on my dash!
