Happy Pride!

Daydreaming and procrastinating more than is healthy.

Writer's block and sleep deprivation are my constant companions.

i asked for
the truth,
thinking that it'd
be like water
to my parched heart.
but darling,
i never knew
that you were harbouring
a devastating flood.

Wow. Wow. So gorgeously written. I can feel the emotion... yes, sometimes, the truth isn't what we want to hear and it hurts. This piece is simply beautiful.

The comparison of truth to water is a truly perceptive concept. Despite this poem's shortness, it speaks such truth. I would say that this deserves to be published for the entire world to see (as in published in a book of poetry).

Yes. A lovely truth about telling the truth; this is perfect, and so applicable to many things. I’m really loving the short poem style you have going; the format really adds to the short and sweet aspect of your pieces. Beautiful work <3
