That no life lives for ever;
That dead men rise up never;
That even the weariest river
Winds somewhere safe to see

I would love any feedback! I was trying to write this poem in an older style, I hope you like it!

eyes like the ocean

October 29, 2019

eyes like the ocean has you,
my lady,
eyes like the ocean.

sometimes raging, stormy blue
a windswept sea,
crashing waves and foaming devils.

Sometimes tranquil, crystal green
waves curve, o'er smooth glass rocks,
the peace in the world.

eyes like the ocean has you,
my lady.
eyes like the ocean.
