After the purchase of embarrassment, after the muffled congratulations, after wide eyes on the bus home, after the prodding of wire, after the cold of gel, after the warmth that no plate of food can fill, after the flushing of vomit, after no breaking of water, after the sirens, after the sirens comes the bloody push, after the stream of tears, after the gurgling of saliva, after the opening of slits, after the curling of a tongue, after the tucking of blankets, after the war with snow and the tinny taxi door, after the blinking of a red light, after the envelope of warmth, after the sprinkle of kisses, after the white liquid flows down, after the night embraces, after my breathing lightens, the world falls silent with only your breath whispering into my chest, two bodies alone together.
