The night sky by eric hines

They each were dressed in white, their long hair cascaded down there back like a waterfall. All wore an expression in which I cannot fully describe, only with the words joy and sorrow. They carried one thing with them; a white flower caressed close to their body. They wore the sun as if they had wrapped it around themselves like a shawl, but in their eyes they carried many memories of the past some full of joy, others full of the dark, in which no mortal has ever seen.
    "How can they look so," Katherine searched for the word, "So sad and happy at the same time?" She asked whispering it in my ear. I didn't know. They didn't fit into logic, they just...were.
