What's up I'm Sophie, I'm 17, and my life aspiration is to eat fruit pastries and own a goldfish

If you're interested in either of those things (or maybe even...my writing!?!) come talk to me here:

Something about the last summer,

When we rode the train till the whole carriage was empty,

You and your blue dress, the one with the sunflowers.

Out the window stretched the lagoon,

perfect coral cobalt, shimmering past

railway clicking

'it's something like a poem,' you said

and you didn't bring your camera so you

took the red lipstick from your bag and

scrawled in perfect loops and soft sweeping letters

the words to catch the picture

of that ocean

And we sat in perfect silence,

sunshine falling from the glass

filling the blanks of two people deeply

different. I watched the way your hair

fell in waves on your shoulders

and you watched the sea make new islands from rock

pushing - pulling

warm and empty

wish you still rode the train with me sometimes.

The diction in this piece is so lovely. It’s soothing and beautiful, just like the story <3

this is beautiful! it feels oddly nostalgic and sad at the same time, and the imagery is so simple but vivid. I love it :)
