Hey! Entering in user-contests has inspired me to write so much more, and I wanted to give back and possibly inspire some other writers by hosting one of my own!
The prompt: Contrast. Your piece must contain two opposing features; two colors, ideas, people, it doesn't matter whatthey are. They must be prominent and clear in your piece. You can also put twists on it, two things that appear to be opposites but under closer inspection are actually not, and vice versa. I need to know what these two things are without asking, but you can write them in as subtly as you wish.
Type of writing: it can be poetry, a short story, one liner ... everything is on the table. Only one entry per person. If you wish to redact a piece for edit, you may do so, but the re-entry must be put in the comments before the deadline.
Speaking of, the deadline is Wednesday, October 30. (May be extended)
Word limit: Nonexistent. I want to give you writers a chance to move me in as little or as many words as you need.
Prizes: First place: 3 reviews on pieces of winner's choice, 3 comments on pieces of my choice.
Second place: 2 reviews on pieces of winner's choice, 2 comments on pieces of my choice.
Third place: 1 review on piece of winner's choice, 1 comment on piece of my choice.
The honorable mention(s) will not get a prize.
When finished with your piece, add the hashtag #blackandwhite and let me know in the comments.
