an exorcism

mother of mary,
your womb is weightlessness

black silk sheets, smoothed
coral reefs cut my ribs

quiet as god
like the psalm on your palms

my bodies flee
spirit of spirit, a

message i need: press your
ear to the ground

feel these locusts eating
orgy of effigies, like

wheat in the wind
and

my prayers start blistering
like heat

under skin
this demon i’m dreaming

you can hear it
again.

once again, your writing has reached through my laptop screen and gripped my throat with its fingers. i love this so much, i wish emojis worked on write the world because then i could spam hearts in every color on this piece.

another great poem. i love the way you play with words—“psalm on your palms” and “my prayers start blistering” are some of my favorites. simply beautiful.

i open my dash and the first thing i see is about an exorcism and i got super excited. too much watching supernatural lately i guess.
anyway, this is beautifully written. i love the two line stanzas. my favorite part is “ feel these locusts eating/orgy of effigies, like” because the language used is absolutely beautiful and flows very nicely.
    wonderful job
