Message from Writer

Hello, everyone! I hope you enjoy my pieces published on this page! Most of what I write is inspired by real life events, along with people I have the pleasure of meeting. Please favourite, review, leave a comment or share any of my works if you like them because it may not seem like it but it means a great deal to me and will make my day tremendously.

Verse 1
If time is money,
You're my investment.
I'm filthy rich with love,
And on you, I'd spend it.

If time is a measurement,
I'm counting each second,
Recording each memory we share,
And loving each moment.

Pre-Chorus
And if time were to start from scratch,
I'd be fine with that.

Chorus
I loved you,
You know that I did,
I love you,
Right now, yes I do,
I'll love you,
In every possible way,
Right 'till the end of my days.

Verse 2
If time yields a home,
I'd want you to live with me,
It's not very warm or cosy,
But it's yours to keep.

If time gives us medicine,
I hope it will heal,
All of the wounds and pain endured,
And help us to feel.

Pre-Chorus
And if time were to stop in its tracks,
I wouldn't mind never going back.

Chorus
I loved you,
You know that I did,
I love you,
Right now, yes I do,
I'll love you,
In every possible way,
Right 'till the end of my days.

Bridge
And should the nights come,
And everything crumbles,
Hope starts to fade,
Our dreams fall and tumble,

I might not have the answers,
But just look in my eyes.
They're saying "you're worth it
Every time."

Pre-Chorus
This is my time right now.
Listen to my final vow.

Chorus
I loved you,
You know that I did,
I love you,
Right now, yes I do,
I'll love you,
In every possible way,
Right 'till the end of my days.

Coda
If time is a gift,
Then this is my present,
The past has now gone,
But our future's not written.

And I'll love you,
In every possible way.
Back then, right now,
And 'till the end of my days.
I was once told by someone that I had the best kind of love- one that was timeless. Those words inspired my entry for this year's Songwriting Competition, whereby I use tense, motif and simplicity to explore time as a construct and a marvellous phenomenon. I hope that this can reach out to the wonderful community here at Write the World and that someday, I can find that kind of love for myself.
