A Certain Type of Decisive

United States

Just your unfriendly neighborhood disaster, bringing you bi-weekly updates from the bottom of my own shoe!

Message to Readers

This trek through your shadow has brought nothing but broken dreams and devestation. My friends, stop carying the shards of glass, leave them behind for the Void to swallow, perhaps it will leave us alone. (p.s. thanks- I got three reviews on this piece?? You guys are really giving me an ego boost- that'll have consequences, but I'll burn that bridge when I get to it!)

Science and Poetry

June 2, 2019

They say,
The scientists, I mean,
That energy can neither be created nor destroyed,
Just transferred into other forms.
So I have reason to believe
That the air is full of words
Still traveling,
From destinations unknown to here,
So much we can't hear,
Because the sound waves move so far from the others,
So low of a sound,
The hairs in our ears don't move.
But biology is unpredictable,
Just because our ears can't hear
Doesn't mean nothing else in our body can.
The problem
Is that even if you build a cell,
Atom by atom,
Protein by Protein,
It still won't work.
They say,
The people, I mean,
That those are souls, energies, the Breath of God,
So they have reason to believe in something bigger,
But I believe the air is full of words,
And ideas are just arrangement of all the words hitting our bodies at any given moment
The energy is transferred.
The cycle is completed.
But we still don't understand.
The air is full of lots of things,
Least of all oxygen.
But it depends on who you ask.

I'm thinking of doing another one, maybe history and poetry? Or poetry and poetry? I dunno but I want to make it a trio.

Like your other poem, Math and Poetry, this is amazing in how it reconciles what seems to be two opposite subjects.
