this is one of the few poems i've written that actually rhymes, and i'm not sure if i've totally got the hang of it. please leave a comment or a review!

pear a dice

in a fracturing world where the trees
howl anthems and cut up the sky;
where the night is neon lights and
the marshmallow stars are shy;
where thrashing drums paint the air red
and weeping guitars throttle blue veins;
where the sun blushes the sky and
bleeds shadows like raindrop chains;
i'd lay in this land of sound and
poetry and flower wreaths,
and find euphoria in strings of
words the world shudders beneath.

alternatively titled: "rhymezone is my best friend"
idk about the title (i'm just not good at naming things in general; it feels like too much power), but other than that i don't think this turned out too horribly. this used to be called "a happy place" for the #escapril thing, but this revised version is fairly different from the original. if you enjoyed, please leave a comment or a review; comments are super helpful to writers because likes don't let us know what you thought or if you really read it! and as always, i'm totally open to constructive criticism.

    love this! it's short but sweet, and "the sun blushes the sky and / bleeds shadows like raindrop chains" has so much impact to me, idk but this is amazing
