Springtime’s here

April 13, 2019

Springtime’s here
and flowers swing
their vain
airs.

It it smells to sunlight;
fresh grass
and life, she
swears.

The sky has a queer mood,
though.
Maybe it needs a
song,
after the winter has gone.

So bees hum and
birds sing high,
trying to impress him
Who watches with a
critic eye.

And yet, how he smiles at their gay tunes!
They cheer up
his lonely noons.
