& i want
to collapse into you,
like stars collapse in on themselves;
to become the supernova to end all supernovas.

& i want
to tangle my fingers with yours,
like smoke tangles in the limbs of trees;
to set your heart ablaze with just a touch of my skin.

& i want
to trace the shape of your lips,
like astronomers trace constellations;
to guide you to the celestial body that is this feeling.

but it's all
slip    slip    slipping
through my
hands.

& i want
to know what
you want,
dear boy.
