Ocean Storms

April 2, 2019

Wild be the waves that crash down upon us

The ocean will bare its teeth in fury.

But now there is still a maddening lust

This must be the storm of the century.

Howling be the wind that blows through the air

Gusting over the frozen cold water.

Twining round the waves to the seashores' lair

Blowing hard toward the trees it may slaughter.

Foamy be the waters of the dark sea

Icy as the snow on a winters' night.

Hurtling toward the soft sand with no plea

Tossing at the shoreline from a great height.

Cowering were all from such destruction

Wishing that this was their own construction.

wow - the rhythm and flow of this piece, demonstrating the vast violence and yet serene calm of the sea, I love it so much <3

okay. i. luv. this!! the imagery! the rhyming! it all comes together so well. the last stanza is so striking, and you *mastered* that ending rhyme. i also love how you were uniform with "wild be the waves," "howling be the wind," and "foamy be the waters." i cannot express my adoration enough.
just an overall brilliant execution, my friend :)
