Tears fall like comets that plummet from the night sky
Scars blanket my skin like the scars that trace Europa's frozen crust
My blood stained clothes spread around like the crumpled corps on a battlefield
The doors now encrusted with ferns and moss like the giant oak I once slept under
The posters I spent my life collecting cover the floor in torn shards
A calendar from three years ago propped on top of an old pizza box
My cabinets overflowing with pills I don't need but take on a daily basis
The windows boarded up so the neighbors can't see what became of me
The drum set that no one could separate me from is currently a pile of metal shards and plastic sheets
The black walls are a cage that I have resigned to
An empty picture frame hangs on a wall for the picture it once held was burnt with the rest of my memories
Sadness is an old friend
Anger is my roommate
Happiness left me a long time ago when you slammed the door on my face
In the center of the room strung to the ceiling fan is a noose
You were right to leave me, of course, you were
So I stood on my table and reached out for the noose
Ready to end a life that was barely living
The noose drapes around my neck on top of the necklace you gave me at the water fountain
But I am brought back to earth as I see your hand on mine and I toss my worries away.

This is really sad, but it's powerful writing. I really like the line, "Anger is my roommate" for some reason. :)
