speak #onlyonehundred (EDITED)

March 14, 2019

Every day I feel the count-down press

        Somewhere              100
Must be blinking,  w a i t i n g for

My mouth becomes a
    like a prison,
every meal made of speech.

Every letter becomes so

I feel time start to d
w i t h  b l o o d  f r o m  m y  t o n g u e.

It soaks the cloth over my
the only relief I get is to say one--
Okay, so this is for the contest by Blotted Ink with a Broken Quill, and I wrote it to be about someone who can only communicate 100 words a day. Every word they say takes another off the count-down, and no one knows why it happens. Therefore, I used only 100 words to write this piece. Please leave your thoughts, and thank you for reading!
