the sea nymph who had it all

February 23, 2019

There was once a sea nymph
That could lighten the world with a smile
Her eyes were the perfect chiaroscuro
Her voice brought the gods to their knees

Yet she was not satisfied
For she wanted more
So she decided to bid farewell
From the world that had fallen for her

The ocean bleeds through her wrists
The wrists she cut with seashells
Scars cover her body
Like runes on a shadowhunter

Her eyes once brighter than the sun
Are clouded with storms
Her face traced with faded tears
Is a map of the galaxy

The world now broken with grief
Lost it's raison d'être
Turned into a black hole
And slowly evanesced
Alas all that remains are seashells stained with the ocean
