A Symphony Of Anger

February 22, 2019

In the room next door
words are falling
they are thrown into the plaster wall
and collide with the paling paint
it almost sounds like
rain
starting with little
harmless pitters
and patters
before a string is pulled
and the words come
tumbling down
inharmoniously in their discord
crashing as the cymbals do in an
orchestra - a symphony of anger
of pain
of confusion
of anxiousness
of misunderstanding
but there is a roof
above my head
so I don't get wet from the rain;
from the soaking
words that threaten
to drown me
and there is a blanket
that I use like a raincoat
to hide
as the words thunder and frighten
as I try
and hope
that there will be a rainbow
at the end of it all.
