When you don't know what to write but feeling very deep---one of those poems

February 17, 2019

dreamt for decades
waited for years
watched for hours
cried more tears
most in my head
because you were barely in my life

barely caught you
in those butterfingers of mine
held you close
but in time

watched you slip
through my grasp
cause it rained
and you never really stay

dreamt for decades
waited for years
watched for hours
cried more tears
for the rest of my life
because you left me behind

Why do I feel like that is every single one of my poem/stories? Oh, yeah, because it pretty much is. I was thinking of someone who left me behind when I was originally reading this, but now I'm thinking about how so many people can take this in such different meanings, because it can apply in a lot of ways. Awesome!
