From a forest to a living room

A piece of wood. 
Sad in its living
Happy in its death, the green foliage of life- it's missing

You look up towards the sky and discover a beautiful sight;

The top of the blanketed forest.

Arms outstretched, hair undone, blowing in the wind.

Wrinkled and worn their faces appear.

Colorful, dull, resilient.

Landscapes full of these amazing creatures.

We call them trees.

Wrinkled elders with their veiny hands outstretched 
Reaching for the same sky they've been living under for hundreds of years 
Withered beards falling past their knees 
Old smiles all around 
 

Critters lay in my realm of darkness; my shadow 
Animals intake the muck I exhale; oxygen 
6-legged creatures climb on dark, hard base; my stump 
It may seem like I'm their king, and their castle. 

Critters take refuge in my shield from the sun; my shadow
Animals survive on the air I create; oxygen. 
6-legged creatures call me home. 
I'm like their guardian spirit. 

Trees stretch towards the sun like arms of the earth, never to reach.

Trying to stand, its feet take over the world. In one way or another, the flourishing begins and brings hope for tomorrow.    

My garden is quite beautiful thanks to all the parts of the nature in it. There are plants, bushes, leaves.
